WARDED TO SIXTH YEAR RAVENCLAWS:
Have any of you heard that first year crying down in the common room in the middle of the night? She seems to be down there every night at half passed two or so, though yesterday it was nearly three when I heard her. The first time I heard her was an accident, I was awake trying to smack (quite literally) some comfort into my pillows, which are suddenly lacking all comfort and fluffiness, and the second time was when I needed to get a sip of water and noticed it wasn't mere coincidence, so...I may or may not have intentionally gotten up for the next week just to see if she was still sneaking/sleepwaking/whatevering down there.
Is it proper to comfort someone who is clearly upset, or would that be too embarrassing for her? Because she's young she should automatically be comforted? Or if she's too young will comforting just make things worse? Are there rules about this sort of thing? Though, if she's emoting in a public place such as the common room...perhaps those rules are invalid? Just the poor thing! I just want to give her a pat on the head.
Not to drastically change the topic, but did you all have fun at Hogsmeade?
